Allen Trieu is a stand-up comedian from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is also a writer for 247Sports.com, The Detroit News, and an analyst on The Big Ten Network's National Signing Day Specials.

Allen first began comedy by winning the Last Laker Standing competition at Grand Valley State University. He has performed at the San Francisco Comedy Competition, Gilda's Laughfest, and at clubs around the country. He has opened for Maria Bamford, Kathleen Madigan, Hannibal Buress, Chris D'Elia, Pete Holmes, Tim Meadows, Christopher Titus, Steve Byrne, Jamie Lee and more.

Clubs performed in include: Dr. Grins (Grand Rapids, MI), The Laugh Factory (New York, NY), Flappers (Burbank, CA), Zanies (Rosemont and Chicago, IL), The Improv (Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH and Irvine, CA), The Ivar Theater (Hollywood, CA), and more.

He is the three-time winner of the Grand Rapids Roast Battle and won the Laughfest edition in 2019 which was judged by industry professionals.

He has appeared on The Bob and Tom Show as well as Comedy Stir Fry for VAMN-TV.


Allen has covered college football recruiting since 2004 first with Scout.com, and now with 247Sports, which is part of CBS Interactive. He has weekly columns in The Detroit News, and he has been quoted in The Sporting News and The Wall Street Journal as well as many other print publications. He has appeared on sports radio from coast to coast and for eight years, has served as a guest analyst on The Big Ten Netwok's National Signing Day specials. He has also appeared on various Fox Sports programs as well as the State Champs! Network.
